Coronavirus and Having A Home Photographed

Yes, I am photographing houses at this time, under certain conditions...

I prefer homeowners not to be home, but if they are, please be sure to have them adhere to social distancing guidelines. As long as they can adhere to keeping distance, I will continue to photograph a home while homeowners are present. At this time I'm still considering making it mandatory for the home to be vacant. So far the majority of homeowners are getting too close and they risk getting my germs and me getting their germs.

Going forward these steps to prep your house for photos is permanent and will be a regular part of me photographing a home. I am finding when these things are done I can show up and get to work. If they are not done, I have to stand in the doorway with the homeowner and explain to them all they need to get done. To avoid spreading germs, I cannot help them turn on lights, open blinds or move things around so I will be standing in the doorway waiting for them to do all these things. I can photograph just fine without blinds open and lights on, but if you have seen my work, I think houses look much better photographed with blinds open and lights on.

When these steps are taken to prepare a house to be photographed, there is less risk in spreading germs and the photos look great for the listing.
